Description
Distillery: Yanagita Shuzo • Prefecture: Miyazaki • Ingredients: 100% Two-Row Barley (including white Barley koji) • Distillation: Low-pressure vacuum still (Gen-atsu)• Water: Spring water from Kirishima basin • ABV: 40%
- A silky, complex and beautiful distillate from Yanagita Distillery, made by aging a cask strength version (40% ABV) of their Yanagita Koma shochu for 1-3 years in Japanese Mizunara Oak.
- Golden color with aromas of sandalwood incense, malty sweetness with light caramel and honeyed tones, silky and rich texture with a slight allspice finish.
- While reminiscent of whiskey the use of koji for malting gives a unique depth, subtlety and sweetness distinct to fine shochu.
- Enjoy in the same manner as bourbon: neat, with water, or mixed in cocktails.
