Pieropan’s Valpolicella Superiore DOC Ruberpan BIO 2021 is an excellent organic wine from the hills of Monte Garzon in Cellore d’Illasi. Made from 60% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone and 5% Rondinella each and Croatina Veronese, this wine is characterized by its brilliant ruby red color and its intense bouquet of cherries and strawberries, complemented by nuances of cocoa and spices. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity and spicy, with a
fine tannin structure.
This wine is special due to its organic production and the careful handwork in the vineyard. The vines grow at an altitude of 350 to 500 meters above sea level on calcareous clay soils, which give the wines a special minerality
and freshness.
The diverse microclimates created by the hilly landscape and the proximity to the Alps are typical of the Valpolicella wine-growing region. These conditions promote the development of complex aromas and the preservation of the natural acidity of grapes. The 2021 vintage benefited from a warm winter, a dry spring and a hot summer, which resulted in excellent grape ripeness
