The Rosso Piceno Superiore DOC Monteprandone BIO 2019 from Saladini Pilastri is an outstanding wine that captures the essence of the Marche region and its traditional winemaking practices. This wine has a deep ruby red color, which is interspersed with garnet reflections. The scent develops intense aromas of ripe red fruits, in particular cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle notes of spices and a slight balsamic nuance. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and an elegant structure that ensures a long, pleasant finish

.

Rosso Piceno Superiore is made from 70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese grapes. Montepulciano is known for its deep fruit aromas and powerful tannins, while Sangiovese contributes fresh acidity and complex aromas of cherries and herbs. This combination gives the wine its characteristic depth and balance.

What makes

this wine special is its organic certification, which guarantees sustainable cultivation without synthetic chemicals. The wine is aged traditionally, with the grapes picked by hand and carefully processed. The aging takes place in French barriques for 18 months, which gives the wine additional complexity and depth. The calcareous soils and the Mediterranean climate, which allow optimal ripening of the grapes, are typical of this wine and the Monteprandone wine-growing zone. These conditions contribute to the wine’s particular minerality and freshness
