The Primofiore IGT 2023 from Quintarelli is a fascinating red wine that impresses with its youthful freshness and complexity. It shows a bright ruby red color in the glass. On the nose, it develops an intense bouquet of red berries, black cherries and plums, complemented by spicy notes of pepper and a touch of herbs. On the palate, it is juicy and lively, with soft tannins and a long-lasting, fruity finish.

This wine consists of equal parts of Corvina, Corvinone, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Corvina and Corvinone bring in rich fruit aromas and a pleasant acid structure, while the Cabernet varieties give the wine body, structure and depth.

A special feature of Primofiore is the partial drying of the Cabernet grapes before pressing, which gives the aromas additional complexity and concentration. The wine ages in large Slavonian oak barrels for about a year, giving it a harmonious balance and elegance.

This wine is characterized by its fresh, fruity style, which sets it apart from the other Quintarelli wines, which are often aged longer. Primofiore is the winery’s newest red wine and is produced without the otherwise typical Appassimento process, making it easier and more accessible.
