The Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Flora 2023 from Girlan Winery represents an elegant, terroir-driven expression of Pinot Noir from South Tyrol. The vineyards around Girlan in the Überetsch area are rooted in limestone and porphyry soils and benefit from a balanced microclimate with warm days and cool nights—ideal conditions for producing refined, structured and aromatically precise wines.Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir) is one of the world’s most demanding red grape varieties. In South Tyrol, altitude and alpine influence provide optimal conditions. It is characterised by fine tannins, vibrant acidity and clear aromas of red berries, cherry and subtle spice. The designation Riserva signifies strict selection and extended ageing. Maturation in oak enhances complexity, structure and ageing potential while maintaining harmony between fruit and wood.In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red colour. The nose reveals ripe cherry, raspberry and delicate toasted nuances. On the palate, it is refined and elegant, with silky tannins, balanced freshness and a long, mineral-driven finish.
