The Mitterberg Cuvée Weiss Resi BIO 2024 from Kurtatsch Winery is a fresh, sustainably produced white wine from Alto Adige, combining forward-looking viticulture with vibrant aromatics. “Resi” stands for fungus-resistant grape varieties (PIWI), mainly Bronner and Souvignier Gris, complemented by Müller-Thurgau from higher-altitude vineyards. These resilient varieties grow on sandy and gravelly soils with dolomite content between roughly 250 and 900 metres above sea level, where pronounced day-to-night temperature shifts enhance aromatic precision and natural freshness. Organic farming and the grapes’ natural resistance help keep plant protection to a minimum, underlining the wine’s sustainable approach.In the glass, Resi BIO 2024 shows a bright straw-yellow colour with delicate green reflections, highlighting its youthful freshness. The blend offers a multi-layered aromatic profile, with notes of citrus and exotic fruit such as pineapple and mango, supported by subtle floral nuances and a hint of herbal lift.
