Lagrein DOC 2024 from Bergmannhof is a distinctive red wine made from 100% Lagrein grapes. This grape variety, native to South Tyrol, is known for its deep dark color and strong, fruity aromas. The wine is deep ruby red with purple reflections. The bouquet unfolds intense aromas of dark berries, accompanied by notes of violets and fine spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, with soft tannins and a pleasant freshness that results in a long-lasting, harmonious finish.
Lagrein is known for its strong structure and intense fruitiness, which is particularly emphasized by the clayey limestone soils and the mild climate in South Tyrol. The wine is aged in oak barrels for six months, giving it additional depth and complexity. The vines are three to fifteen years old and are grown in the Guyot system, which allows optimal solar radiation and ventilation.
