The Falanghina Gran Tifeo Bianco IGT 2020 from Cenatiempo is an outstanding white wine from the Campania region, in particular from the island of Ischia. This wine is made from 100% Falanghina grape variety, which is known for its fresh acidity and lively fruit aromas.
The Gran Tifeo Bianco shows a light straw yellow in the glass. On the nose, tempting aromas of lemon, peach, pear and apple develop, accompanied by mineral notes. On the palate, the wine has a crisp, fleshy texture, which is rounded off by lively acidity and a long, mineral finish.
An interesting detail is that after the hand-picked harvest, the grapes are immediately pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks and concrete tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine ages on fine lees for three months, which gives it additional complexity and depth.
