The Unterthurner Digestive Gebirgsenzian 45° – 0.7 l is a traditional herbal bitter from South Tyrol, made from the roots of the Yellow Gentian. With an alcohol content of 45 %, it offers an intense tasting experience. The distillation takes place in copper stills, with the gentian roots carefully macerated and processed. After distillation, the digestif matures for at least two years in stainless steel barrels, adding further depth. Visually, the Gebirgsenzian presents a clear, golden color reminiscent of the sunny highlands from which the gentian roots originate. On the palate, earthy, bitter notes dominate, accompanied by a subtle woody aroma of the gentian root. This digestif is ideal to be enjoyed neat at room temperature after a hearty meal.
