Description
The 1961 Château Ausone is a Bordeaux red wine from the famous Saint-Émilion appellation.
Considered as one of the oldest Crus from this region, Château Ausone spreads over 7 ha of vines composed of 45% Merlot and 55% Cabernet franc.
Very rare and highly-prized among lovers and collectors of great wines, Château Ausone is a First Growth Bordeaux on the same level as the famous Château Cheval-Blanc, Pavie and Angélus.
From Maison Vandermeulen-Decannière in Ostende, famous for their selection and bottling quality, this rare bottle was perfectly preserved in a private cellar with perfect preservation conditions, owned by a belgian politician.
Powerful, rich and aromatic wines, the Château d’Ausone’s wines have an exceptionally good ageing potential.
