The Pinot Noir DOC Buchholz 2023 from Castelfeder is an exquisite Pinot Noir that reflects the elegance and refinement of this noble grape variety. In a deep ruby red, the wine appears in the glass and unfolds a complex bouquet of red berries, cherries and a touch of spices and herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious with fine tannins and lively acidity, which gives the wine freshness and structure.
The Pinot Noir grape variety is known for its delicate aromas and the ability to impressively convey the characteristics of the terroir. In the Buchholz vineyard, one of the best locations for Pinot Noir in South Tyrol, the vines grow on mineral-rich soils under optimal climatic conditions.
The special feature of this wine lies in its origin and careful vinification. The grapes are picked by hand and vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity and freshness of the aromas. The Buchholz location, known for its ideal combination of altitude and soil conditions, gives the wine a unique minerality and complexity.
