The wine pours a deep ruby red with garnet hues at the rim, signalling power and finesse. The bouquet is richly layered: ripe dark cherries, plums, toasted almonds, forest floor, balsamic hints and spices including rhubarb and liquorice. On the palate it is full-bodied and velvety, with well-integrated tannins, a warm structure, noticeable but elegant alcohol (~16.5% vol), and a persistent finish that echoes dried fruit and spice.
