The Aglianico DOC Dal Re 2022 from Feudi di San Gregorio is an impressive red wine that captures the essence of the Aglianico grape. This grape variety, also known as the “Barolo of the South”, is characterized by its deep aromas and aging potential. The wine is bright ruby red and gives off intense scents of small red fruits such as black cherry and raspberry, combined with notes of licorice and sweet spices. On the palate, it is soft and balanced, with soft tannins and a long-lasting aroma.

What is special about this wine is its aging: It spends around six months in French barriques, followed by further aging in stainless steel tanks and finally at least six months in the bottle. This gives it remarkable depth and complexity.

The volcanic soils, which are rich in minerals, and the Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters are typical of the Irpinia wine-growing region in Campania. These conditions create ideal conditions for growing the Aglianico grape, which is known for its strong tannins and complex aromas.
