Description
Our family’s dedication to Charanda extends beyond mere production, it is an embodiment of cultural heritage and agricultural innovation. As siblings, and through our stewardship, we have not only preserved traditional methods but also re-enforced sustainable practices in this ever changing world to ensure the environmental integrity of our family estate in Patuan which has become world renowned for high-quality, artisanal sugar cane production. These are techniques passed down through generations which ensures the cultivation and processing of sugarcane that retains its historic authenticity and rich quality deeply rooted in the volcanic soil and history of Michoacan. The uniqueness of the five sugarcane varietals – Cristilina, Criolla, Morada, Mexicana, and Mayari – and love in the labor with special attention to detail and passion for excellence is what makes each bottle of our Charanda not just a drink, but a celebration of tradition and culture.
