As people go, George Smith was no ordinary man. After he licensed his whisky in 1824, he battled against all odds and established his smooth fruity Glenlivet as the definitive taste of Speyside. What George started continues to inspire our makers to create whiskies that are enjoyed by all far and wide. Smooth citrus, rich honey and subtle liquorice spice unravel across your palate. A portion of the whisky is finished on Cognac casks, delivering a rich and creamy flavour. Nose: Sweet and fruity aroma followed by a subtle spice. Palate: Mouth-coating whisky, full of ripe poached pears, mandarins in syrup and chocolate coated raisins. Finish: Sweet and delicious, a Glenlivet savour.
