As people go, George Smith was no ordinary man. After he licensed his whisky in 1824, he battled against all odds and established his smooth fruity Glenlivet as the definitive taste of Speyside. What George started continues to inspire our makers to create whiskies that are enjoyed by all far and wide. Ripe apricot in hues, the 18 year old tempts the eye. An intensely complex balance of sweet spice and indulgent juicy orange will burst in your palate, leading to a crescendo of chocolate-dipped raisins on the finish. Colour: Golden, autumnal hues. Nose: Fragrant, elegant, complex with a sweet oakiness, rich sweet fruit aromas, toffee notes. Palate: Smooth and wonderfully balanced, burst of spices and bitter oranges drying out an oaky notes. Finish: Long and lingering. Hints of oak and spice.
