The St. Magdalener DOC Classico 2024 from Erbhof Unterganzner is an authentic representative of South Tyrol’s traditional Vernatsch wines. The cuvée is predominantly Vernatsch, complemented by a small portion of Lagrein, which adds depth and structure. The grapes come from sunny slopes around Bolzano, where the warm climate and mineral-rich soils create ideal ripening conditions. After careful hand harvesting, the berries are gently processed and traditionally fermented to preserve freshness and varietal character. In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red colour. The bouquet reveals fruity aromas of cherry and red berries, accompanied by delicate hints of almond and violet. On the palate, it is harmonious, soft, and lively, with fine tannins and pleasant acidity.
