An outstanding example of the finesse and potential of the Sauvignon Blanc vine is the Sauvignon DOC Graf von Meran 2024, produced by the Merano Winery. This wine embodies the unique combination of alpine freshness and Mediterranean sun that makes South Tyrol’s wines so special.
In an appealing greenish yellow color, the wine develops a complex bouquet of vanilla, herbs, elderberry and gooseberry, which underlines the typical variety of aromas of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. On the palate, the wine has a full, powerful structure while remaining harmonious and elegant. The lively fruit acid is excellently balanced and leads to a long-lasting, impressive finish.
The Merano winery uses its geographically privileged location in South Tyrol to create a Sauvignon Blanc that perfectly combines both traditional and modern aspects of winemaking. Ripening on fine lees gives this Sauvignon an additional dimension of complexity and elegance.
