The Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG Vigna del Parroco 2021 from Ferraris is a remarkable wine that highlights the rare and aromatic Ruchè grape variety. This grape variety, which is grown exclusively in the Monferrato region, is characterized by its intense floral and fruity aromas. A special feature of this wine is that the grapes come from the oldest and first vineyard completely planted with Ruchè, which was planted in 1964 by priest Don Giacomo Cauda. This vineyard is the only officially recognized cru of DOCG Ruchè di Castagnole
Monferrato.
Vigna del Parroco undergoes controlled alcoholic fermentation with traditional pumping. 80% of malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and 20% in Tonneaux, followed by nine-month aging in Tonneaux and six-month bottle aging, giving the wine its complex structure and depth
.
In the glass, the wine is bright ruby red with purple reflections. The nose is dominated by an intense bouquet of roses and violets, fruity notes of marasca cherries and small berries, and a subtle balsamic undertone. On the palate, Ruchè is lively and fresh, with soft tannins and a pleasant acidity that underline the fruity and spicy character of the
wine.
