The Rosso Conero DOC 2022 from Le Terrazze is an outstanding red wine that impressively brings out the essence of Montepulciano grapes from the Marche region. This vintage is characterised by a deep ruby red colour with purple reflections. The scent unfolds intense aromas of ripe cherries, plums and blackberry jam, complemented by subtle notes of myrtle and a touch of balsamic. On the palate, the 2021 vintage is soft and fruity, with well-integrated tannins, which give the wine a pleasant structure and complexity. The aftertaste is long and elegant, with a harmonious balance between fruit and spice.

This wine is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, which are known for their powerful aromas and ability to produce full-bodied, structured wines. The grapes for Rosso Conero are harvested by hand and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages in large oak barrels for one year and then in the bottle for at least four months before being sold. This traditional method preserves the freshness and fruitiness of the grapes while adding depth and complexity to the wine.

While the 2022 vintage was already impressive due to its intense fruitiness and softness, the 2021 vintage shows a slightly increased complexity and depth. The tannins are a bit more present, which gives the wine an even better structure without affecting the harmonious balance between fruit and spice.
