The Riesling Kinheimer Hubertuslay Auslese 2020 by Markus Molitor is a superb expression of the depth and elegance of the Mosel’s sweet Rieslings. The Kinheimer Hubertuslay vineyard, located between Erden and Kröv, is one of the classic steep sites of the Middle Mosel, characterized by weathered Devonian slate soils and a southeast exposure, providing the ideal balance between ripeness and freshness. All grapes are hand-selected in multiple passes, ensuring only perfectly ripe, golden berries are used. In the glass, the wine glows with a bright golden hue. The bouquet is rich and layered, revealing aromas of ripe apricot, candied citrus and honey, complemented by hints of dried herbs and delicate slate minerality. On the palate, the Kinheimer Hubertuslay Auslese 2020 is concentrated yet graceful. Its luscious sweetness is perfectly counterbalanced by vibrant, finely integrated acidity. A Riesling of great finesse, depth and ageing potential – a true reflection of Markus Molitor’s precision and the timeless character of the Mosel.
