The Prosecco Spumante DOC Extra Dry Joy from Forchir is an exceptional sparkling wine that impresses with its freshness and versatility. Made from the Glera grape variety that grows in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, this wine shows the best that this grape has to offer. The alluvial, stony soils of this region contribute significantly to the unique characteristics of the wine.
The Glera grape, the historic basis for prosecco, produces wines that are known for their pleasant lightness and fruitiness. This prosecco is characterized by its bright, pale straw yellow colour and the lively play of pearls. The bouquet reveals intense aromas of pear, Golden Delicious apple and white peach, complemented by floral notes of acacia flowers and a hint of sage. On the palate, the wine is fresh and spicy, with a gentle sweetness that gives it a particular elegance.
The special feature of this prosecco lies in its production. The grapes are harvested slightly before they are fully ripe to ensure a sparkling base. After the first fermentation, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in autoclaves, which gives it its characteristic perlage.
