The Weißburgunder Riserva DOC Flora 2023 from Girlan Winery is a structured and precisely crafted Pinot Blanc from South Tyrol. The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Überetsch area, where limestone-rich soils and pronounced day–night temperature differences allow for slow ripening and clearly defined aromatics. The combination of alpine climate and mineral subsoil gives the wine freshness and balance.Pinot Blanc is one of South Tyrol’s key white grape varieties. In this region, it is known for its clarity, refined acidity and elegant, restrained fruit character. It stands for balance, precision and good ageing potential without being opulent. The designation Riserva reflects extended ageing and careful selection of the finest grapes. Partial maturation in oak and lees ageing add structure and depth while preserving freshness. In the glass, it appears bright straw yellow. The nose reveals apple, pear and citrus with subtle almond hints. On the palate, it is precise and mineral, with lively acidity and a long, harmonious finish.
