Description
This wine is a blend of Macabeu, Muscat d’Alexandrie, and Muscat à Petits Grains from 50 year old vines grown organically in the Roussillon. The wine is sourced from three parcels named after winemaker Tom Lubbe’s wife’s grandmother. The grapes undergo a brief whole cluster maceration, giving the wine a light amber hue, and are cofermented before aging on the lees in large foudres. The wine is deliciously complex, with primary flavors of candied apricots, ripe yellow peaches, tropical fruits and honey. Pair it with grilled mackerel and escalivada on toasted sourdough.
