Description

Rouyer Guillet Brevet Royal – Magnum in Presentation Case (1970s/1980s)

The Vintage Charm of a Traditional Cognac

This Rouyer Guillet Brevet Royal, presented in a magnum format with its original presentation case, is a fine example of French art de vivre from the 1970s and 1980s. Produced by Maison Rouyer Guillet, founded in the 19th century in Saintes (Charente-Maritime), it reflects the style of classic cognacs: rich, warming, and full of character.

The label “Brevet Royal” refers to an old royal warrant, once granted to official suppliers of European royal courts — a mark of international prestige and quality.

Aged for many years in oak barrels, this cognac displays a deep amber robe with copper highlights. The nose is broad and expressive, with aromas of dried fruits (fig, apricot, prune), fine woods, aged leather, vanilla, and noble rancio. On the palate, it is silky and warming, with evolving layers of walnut, sweet spice, blond tobacco, and a hint of dark cocoa. The finish is long, persistent, and gracefully woody, with the smooth elegance of well-aged spirit.

Presented in a large format and housed in its vintage box, this Rouyer Guillet Brevet Royal is both a collector’s item and a refined sipping cognac — a tribute to a time when luxury meant discretion, tradition, and patience.
