First Champagne winery, Maison Ruinart was founded in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, Dom Ruinart’s nephew, Benedictine monk, historian, theologian and above all visionary, he quickly sensed that Champagne would be particularly popular.
Maison Ruinart has the unique feature of not owning any vine but to buy grapes from local producers, selected for their production quality.
The 1978 Champagne from Maison Ruinart Dom Ruinart in Magnum is a rare bottle which will delight lovers and collectors of exceptional wines.
The cap is slightly damaged but the bottle is perfectly sealed.
