Description

Cognac Napoléon Fine Champagne – Bisquit Dubouché & Cie (Magnum, presumed 1960s)

A rare and majestic bottle from the golden age of Cognac

This Magnum of Cognac Napoléon Fine Champagne, crafted by Bisquit Dubouché & Cie, is a rare relic from the 1960s, a golden era for French spirits. Founded in 1819 in Jarnac, Bisquit is renowned for producing cognacs that are both powerful and smooth, with a rich aromatic profile.

Labeled Napoléon, this cognac has been aged well beyond the legal minimum, and is composed exclusively of eaux-de-vie from the two most prestigious crus of the region: Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, with a predominance of Grande Champagne, ensuring depth, elegance, and exceptional length. The magnum format enhances its aging capacity, allowing the spirit to evolve slowly and harmoniously.

Its color is a deep, glowing mahogany. On the nose, it reveals classic notes of noble rancio, dried fruits, candied orange peel, blond tobacco, sweet spices, and subtle hints of fine oak. The palate is soft and enveloping, with a velvety texture and a long, persistent finish that leaves behind warm, lingering flavors.

This Bisquit Napoléon Magnum is more than just a spirit — it’s a piece of history, best enjoyed slowly, in a moment of quiet reflection. It’s perfect as a grand after-dinner drink, or savored in solitude, perhaps alongside a fine cigar or a square of intense dark chocolate.
