Lagrein DOC 2024 from Kellerei Kurtatsch is an outstanding red wine from South Tyrol. In the glass, this wine is deep, dark ruby red with purple reflections. The bouquet is intense and complex, with aromas of ripe cherries, plums, dark berries and delicate spicy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety and full-bodied, with a firm tannin structure and a long, fruity finish.
The Lagrein grape variety, one of the oldest autochthonous grape varieties in South Tyrol, grows particularly well on the warm, deep soils in the hills around Kurtatsch. The location and climate in South Tyrol, with its hot days and cool nights, create optimal conditions for growing this grape variety.
