Bozen Winery, St. Magdalener Strasse 4, 39100 Bolzano (BZ), IT
The Lagrein DOC Perl 2024 from Bozen Winery is a distinctive South Tyrolean red wine that beautifully reflects the strength and elegance of the indigenous Lagrein grape. The renowned winery in Bolzano combines alpine terroir with modern winemaking expertise, creating a Lagrein DOC that is both authentic and well-balanced. Lagrein is one of South Tyrol’s oldest native grape varieties and is closely connected to the Bolzano area. It thrives on warm, alluvial soils, where it develops its typical dark fruit aromas, firm structure and well-defined tannins. Internationally, Lagrein stands for powerful, age-worthy red wines with a clear regional identity. In the glass, it shows an intense deep ruby red colour with violet highlights. On the nose, aromas of ripe cherries, wild berries and a subtle hint of violet unfold. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with fine spice, structured tannins and a long, fruit-driven finish.
