Masahiro Distillery, founded in 1883, is one of the oldest and largest distilleries in Okinawa. The Kujira Ryukyu Whiskey is distilled from 100% premium rice and matured in Sherry, Bourbon and American White Oak Casks for more than 15 years, giving a mellow taste and silky texture to this exquisite whiskey. The subtropical climate in Okinawa provides a warm and humid storage condition that accelerates the maturation process. This environment creates subtle fruity and botanical flavors with intense texture, enhancing the uniqueness of Ryukyu Whiskey. Nose: Dried plums, candied fruits, with mints and chocolates.Palate: Pleasant vanilla and honey followed with slight smoky flavors.Finish: Remarkably smooth, long and clean finish of licorice and peppery notes.
