The Kalterersee DOC Erbe + Contract 2022 from Andi Sölva is an outstanding red wine that impresses with its deep red color with purple reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe cherries, berries and spices develop. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and soft, with a pleasant freshness. The fine tannins and harmonious acidity give it structure and
longevity.
This wine is made from the Vernatsch (also known as Schiava) grape variety. Vernatsch is an autochthonous variety from South Tyrol, known for its light, fruity and aromatic wines. The grapes for this wine come from the Pulvernai and Plantaditsch vineyards, where they reach a high level of maturity that is almost close to a late harvest
.
The special feature of this wine lies in its production in accordance with the guidelines of the Kalterersee Charter, which guarantees the highest quality standards. The name “Heritage + Mission” reflects the tradition and demands that the winery places on its wines. The 2020 vintage was characterized by ideal weather conditions, which led to excellent grape ripeness and thus to a particularly balanced and characterful
wine.
