The Inzolia IGP La Ferla 2021 from Canicattì is a lively white wine that captures the essence of Sicilian viticulture. It is presented in a light straw yellow colour. The bouquet is characterized by fresh aromas of citrus fruits such as lemon and lime, complemented by notes of green apple and a slight minerality. On the palate, the wine is light and fresh, with a balanced acidity and a crisp
, clean finish.
This wine is made from 100% Inzolia grapes, an indigenous Sicilian grape variety also known as Ansonica. Inzolia is known for its fresh, citrusy aromas and mineral notes, making it an ideal choice for
lighter white wines.
Inzolia IGP La Ferla is typical for its fresh, mineral characteristics, which are favored by the sandy-silky soils and the Mediterranean climate of the region. The vineyards are located in the provinces of Agrigento and Palermo at altitudes of 200 to 600 meters above sea level. The soils are alkaline and rich in limestone, which helps the grapes develop their lively acidity and clear fruit aromas.
