Description
- Single-vineyard, vintage grappa produced in collaboration with ARPEPE by Invitti Distillery in Sondrio, Lombardia, Italy
- Made from the pomace of 100% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) from ARPEPE’s Rocce Rosse vineyard, located in the Sassella subzone of the Valtellina DOCG
- Distilled on the Invitti family’s all-copper continuous column still, heated by controlled steam for gentler distillation
- Rested for two years in stainless steel
- Vintage dated; distilled from only one harvest’s pomace
- Aromas of mountain flowers and rainwater lead into a soft, rounded pallet of stewed fruits, cumquats, chalky wedding candies, and a hint of black pepper before a gentle, pleasingly bitter finish of eucalyptus and bay leaf
- No sugars, caramels, or other additives
- 43% ABV
This fine, sipping grappa reflects the terroir of ARPEPE’s Rocce Rosse (‘Red Rocks’) vineyard, a steep, four-hectare parcel of the estate’s oldest vines located in Sassella, one of Valtellina’s ‘superiore’ subzones (equivalent to ‘grand cru’ status). Enjoy neat or from a stemmed grappino glass and experience a product of this famed vineyard in an entirely new light.
