Winemaker’s Background:

Gruet Winery was founded by Gilbert Gruet, who began cultivating vineyards in Bethon, France, in 1952 before establishing his cooperative in 1967. In 1984, the Gruet family expanded to the United States, planting Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and pioneering high-quality sparkling wine production. Today, under the leadership of Carrie Gurule as the first female head winemaker in the winery’s history, Gruet continues to honor its French heritage while advancing American sparkling wine craftsmanship with precision and consistency.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve well chilled at 45 to 48 degrees Fahrenheit in a flute or tulip glass to preserve its fine mousse and aromatic intensity. Pair with fresh berries, soft cheeses, smoked salmon, charcuterie, or light desserts. Its vibrant acidity and berry-driven profile also complement brunch dishes and celebratory occasions.
