Description

Prestigious appellation from the southwest, Armagnac is the oldest marketed wine spirit in France. It has been on the market since the 16th century, sold as « medicine » for its beneficial properties on the human body. Today, the Armagnac region is split into 3 areas : Bas-Armagnac, Ténarèze and Haut-Armagnac. Aged in oak barrels since the 18th century, Armagnac is a blend of Bacco, Folle Blanche, Ugni Blanc and Colombard. With an exceptionally good ageing potential, the Grand Armagnac Henry C. Bruchaut in Condrin d’Armagnac, presumably from the 1920/30s, is a rare eau-de-vie which will delight lovers of staple Armagnacs and will make a perfect gift for collectors of exceptional bottles.
