The Franciacorta DOCG Vintage Collection Dosage Zero 2019 from Ca’ Del Bosco is an exceptional sparkling wine that impresses with its brilliant straw yellow color. Its scent is complex and multi-layered, characterized by notes of green apples, lemon zest and a touch of toasted bread. On the palate, it is dry and refreshing, with a fine perlage that reveals aromas of citrus and white flowers and ends with a long,
mineral finish.
This Franciacorta consists mainly of Chardonnay grapes (65%), complemented by Pinot Nero (13%) and Pinot Bianco (22%). Chardonnay gives the wine its elegance and freshness, while Pinot Nero adds structure and depth. Pinot Bianco provides additional finesse and
floral nuances. The
high quality and careful production using the traditional method of bottle fermentation, similar to champagne, are typical of this wine and the Franciacorta wine-growing region. Franciacorta is known for its mild, continental climate and calcareous soils, which offer ideal conditions for
producing high-quality sparkling wines.
Dosage Zero means that no sugar is added to the wine after the second fermentation, making it particularly dry and puristic. This accentuates the natural acidity and mineral properties of wine
.
