The Franciacorta DOCG Vintage Collection Extra Brut 2019 by Ca’ Del Bosco features a bright golden yellow colour, which is enhanced by fine, long-lasting pearls. The scent unfolds a complex bouquet of citrus fruits, green apples, and delicate notes of white flowers and roasted nuts. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with an elegant minerality and a harmonious balance between fruit
and acidity.
This sparkling wine consists of 55% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Nero and 15% Pinot Bianco. Chardonnay gives the wine its elegance and fine aromas, Pinot Nero adds structure and body, while Pinot Bianco provides additional
freshness. The
careful selection of grapes and the complex production process, in which the grapes are harvested by hand in the first decade of September, are typical of this wine and the Franciacorta wine-growing zone. The term “Extra Brut” means that this wine is very dry, with a very low residual sugar content, which highlights its freshness and purity
.
The wine ages on lees for at least 48 months, which contributes to its complexity and depth. An interesting detail for wine lovers is that Ca’ Del Bosco pays particular attention to keeping grapes clean and protecting them from oxidation by using the “Zero Oxygen” process, which preserves the quality and freshness of the aromas
.
