The 2019 Grande Reserve is a blend of 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon from Campo Los Andes in the Uco Valley and was aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak barrels. In the glass, it’s garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose offers balsamic notes alongside ripe plum, mountain herbs and redcurrant against a cedar backdrop. Indulgent and creamy, it has plush tannins and a well-balanced acidity, resulting in a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. This is a rich, rewarding, high altitude blend from a mild year.
