It has an intense garnet red color with violet reflections. It is a rich, intense wine with great harmony and structure, perfectly blending flavors that evoke ripe fruit, plum, jammy cherry, underbrush, withered flowers, toasted wood, vanilla, and chocolate. Powerful on the palate with velvety tannins and great balance. The wine pairs perfectly with red meats, game, dishes from the Mediterranean cuisine, aged cheeses, blue cheeses, and grilled meats. It is also excellent with handmade pasta, served with meat sauce, a traditional dish from the Molise region.Serving temperature 16- 18°C. Ideally, the bottle should be uncorked one hour before serving.

A bold red with aromas of black cherries, plums, dried mint and hazelnuts. It’s ripe and full-bodied with firm yet creamy tannins. Opulent yet balanced. From organically grown grapes. Better from 2024.

The 2019 Don Luigi Riserva, a varietal Montepulciano, opens with a seductive bouquet of minty herbs, pine shavings, cocoa powder and wild blueberries. It’s silken and supple, with masses of ripe red and black fruits that swirl across a stream of zesty acidity. Edgy tannins line the palate as the 2019 finishes spicy and long, leaving a licorice tinge and nuances of dark, dark chocolate. The oak is evident at this time, but the balance here will welcome cellaring.
