Custom Crafted Merced Rye WhiskeyAged 5 YearsAt Corbin Cash we have been growing rye as long as we have grown sweet potatoes. For more than 100 years we have used Winter Rye as a rotation crop. Merced Rye is a variety that is a natural fit for our California climate. It grows rapidly in cool weather and is naturally drought resistant. Our sandy soils tend to leach nitrogen fertilizers. Merced Rye’s extensive root system can naturally mine nitrogen from 13 feet and bring it back to the surface to be used in next years crop. Not only is Merced Rye essential for our stable farming environment, it also makes great whiskey.
