World-famous historic property, alongside its neighbor Château Lafite, Château Mouton Rothschild spreads over 84 ha of vines composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 3% Cabernet franc. Falsely ranked Second Growth, it became a First Growth Bordeaux during the classification review in 1973 for the delight of the owner Baron Philippe de Rothschild.
