Description
Château de Valois 1967 – Pomerol
The 1967 Château de Valois comes from the Pomerol appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, renowned for its clay-loam and gravelly soils, which allow Merlot, the dominant grape, and Cabernet Franc to fully express themselves. The estate is known for producing elegant, concentrated wines with excellent aging potential.
The 1967 vintage, although modest, produced a wine that is already evolved and harmonious. Today, it shows a garnet robe with brick highlights, and a complex bouquet of dried plum, ripe black fruits, leather, forest floor, and subtle spices. On the palate, the tannins are mellow, the texture silky, and the finish long and elegant, reflecting the refined and noble style of classic Pomerol wines.
A collector’s wine, embodying the charm and balance typical of classic Pomerol vintages.
