The 2019 Barbaresco Rio Sordo is a gorgeous, beguiling wine. Rose petal, mint, macerated cherry, spice, incense and orange peel lend an exotic flair that is quite appealing. The aromatics are quite pretty, but the tannins suggest a few years of cellaring will be hugely beneficial.
