The Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva DOC 2019 from Castel Sallegg, an exquisite red wine from the South Tyrol region, is deep ruby red and offers a rich aroma profile. The nose is dominated by dark berries and a touch of pepper, complemented by elegant notes of cedar and chocolate. On the palate, the wine is complex and elegant, supported by fine-grained tannins, which offer a wonderful balance with the full-bodied fruit taste. The finish is intense and long-lasting, which underlines the high-quality design of this wine.
The Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety is known for its ability to produce structured and long-lasting wines, which is particularly reflected in a riserva. “Riserva” refers to wines that have matured for a longer period of time, both in barrique and in bottle, which gives this Cabernet Sauvignon additional complexity and depth of flavor. This wine was aged in barriques for 12 months and underwent an additional 12 months of bottle aging before it
was released on the market.
