Tasting the same whiskey at different ages is like an X-Ray; one can enjoy a cross section of flavors as they mature and develop. Several years ago we introduced Bone Snapper Rye, a bold, rich rye whiskey. We set a small amount of that original batch aside to patiently age. All those years in a barrel have mellowed this bold spirit, its signature spiciness giving way to a mellow and complex caramel flavor. It’s fascinating that two whiskeys, sharing the same bones, can yield such dramatically different flavors with time. It is our pleasure to introduce our discovery to you as Bone Snapper X-Ray Reserve – a more mature, fully developed snapshot of our original creation.
