The Blauburgunder Riserva DOC Mazzon Johann BIO 2021 from the Brunnenhof Mazzon estate is a characterful South Tyrolean Pinot Noir that impresses with elegance, depth, and expressive power. The grapes come from approximately 30-year-old vines growing on alluvial, slightly clayey calcareous soils in Mazzon – one of Italy’s most renowned sites for Pinot Noir. The family-run estate works biodynamically and is certified organic.Fermentation takes place in open wooden vats using native yeasts to capture the full expression of the terroir.
