The Pinot Noir Riserva DOC Burgum Novum 2022 from Castelfeder is an outstanding Pinot Noir grown in South Tyrol’s most renowned vineyards. The wine has a brilliant ruby red color. On the nose, elegant aromas of raspberries, cranberries and dried rose petals develop, complemented by subtle notes of fine wood. On the palate, the wine is clear and radiant, with juicy fruit, fine tannins and lively acidity. The finish is long and persistent, with a firm pressure that gives the wine depth and complexity.
This wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir (Pinot Noir). This grape variety is known for its ability to impressively reflect the terroir and produces wines of great elegance and complexity. The grapes for Burgum Novum come from the best locations in Glen, Buchholz and Mazon, which offer ideal conditions due to their altitude and special microclimate.
The special feature of Pinot Noir Riserva lies in its long aging period. The wine is aged in small oak barrels for 18 months and then matures in the bottle for a further 12 months. This long storage gives the wine its exceptional structure and longevity. “Riserva” means that the wine ages for a longer period of time and thus achieves higher quality and complexity.
