Ferraris Barbera d’Asti DOCG Del Martin 2021 is an outstanding wine that perfectly captures the essence of the Barbera grape and the Piedmont region. This wine has an intense ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose, it develops an elegant bouquet of blackberries and black currants, accompanied by dried roses and fine vanilla notes. On the palate, the wine is dry, soft and fresh, perfectly balanced by fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. The aftertaste is long-lasting and mineral, which gives the
wine additional depth.
This wine is made from 100% Barbera grapes grown in the Montegrosso d’Asti sub-region of Piedmont. The Barbera grape is known for its lively acidity and intense fruitiness. A special feature of Barbera d’Asti Del Martin is its production. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in stainless steel and a three-month refinement in the bottle. This method preserves the freshness and pure aromas of the grapes.
The Piedmont region, particularly the area around Asti, is known for its first-class Barbera wines. The temperate climate, characterized by mild summers and cool nights, creates ideal conditions for
growing Barbera grapes.
