The Barbaresco DOCG Starderi 2022 by La Spinetta is a classic Piedmont red wine that beautifully showcases the outstanding quality and structure of Nebbiolo from the renowned single-vineyard cru Starderi in Neive. Starderi is one of the most respected sites in the Barbaresco area, defined by limestone- and clay-rich soils, a south-west exposure, and old vines averaging over 50 years of age—factors that give the wine depth, balance, and impressive ageing potential. Starderi is part of La Spinetta’s core collection, produced by one of Piedmont’s most highly regarded families, known for crafting Barbaresco with meticulous care and a refined, Burgundy-inspired sense of precision.The Nebbiolo grape shows here in an intense ruby red colour with subtle garnet reflections, highlighting both youth and concentration. On the nose, it reveals a layered and expressive bouquet with fresh, precise aromas of red berries, wild raspberry, cherry and delicate floral notes, supported by balsamic hints, violet tones and a subtle herbal spice.
