• Gentian flowers are harvested in the French & Italian Alps in spring and fall and the roots are macerated for approximately 60 days
• The final infusion is combined with additional alcohol, a small amount of Piedmontese wine, water, and cane & sugar beet sugar and then lightly filtered before bottling
• A high/low of citrus pith and forest floor aromas lead to a juicy yet moreish palate of sloe berry, myrrh, and oxidized lemon. A hint of Saigon cinnamon closes out a waxy finish that expresses gentle bitterness.
